Melrose Automobiles is the proud home of Peugeot, Hyundai and Proton in the Nation's Capital.

We take pride in being a local, family owned business. In 1987 owners Domenic and Mary-Anne Alvaro, with nearly 20 years experience in the motor industry on Sydney's bustling Parramatta Road, settled in Canberra and have been enjoying Canberra's more relaxed and discerning motor industry ever since.

When Melrose Automobiles commenced trading in 1993, it was a gravel yard, with a caravan for an office, and a staff of only seven people. Fast forward to 2009, and we now provide employment for over 30 Canberrans, have three beautifully presented and inviting showrooms and a bustling, efficient workshop.

Domenic and Mary-Anne enjoy being very hands-on in the business, and, in their time in Canberra, have really got to know the needs and wishes of the region's customers.

Our motto at Melrose Automobiles is: Because buying a car should be fun. When it comes to our staff this is something they strongly believe in. We try to provide our customers with an environment that is stress free and fun. We love what we do and the product we sell as we feel it is the best and we want to share that passion with you. We are not ones for 'the hard sell'. it's no fun for anyone involved and buying a car should be about fun!
